BusinessIntegrated Mapping Becoming a GIS profession

John McCombs’ Christchurch business supplied software and technical support, including MapInfo assistance, mailing lists and FAQs. Its later web-mapping work included NIWA’s DASmap.

Integrated Mapping dates its establishment in Christchurch to 1992. Its MapToaster product line brought New Zealand topographic maps and imagery to desktop and mobile users. The publisher’s mobile listing, with a 2014–23 copyright history, documents offline maps, location display, tracks and waypoints. This product work extended the company’s earlier software support and shared technical information into packaged mapping tools.
