John Arnerich dates Locus to GPS-phone experiments discussed in 2000. The initial work involved Benefon phones; FME became the focus a few years later. Rotorua Lakes and Greg Bennett were early supporters, and Bruce Harold encouraged the work. The business developed data-conversion, integration, training and automation services.
