A September 2007 reseller announcement records MapData Sciences’ appointment to supply Microsoft’s Virtual Earth and MapPoint Web Services in Australia and New Zealand. It places the company’s commercial Census and mapping-data work alongside web-service distribution as online mapping expanded. The announcement supports that particular reseller role; it does not establish a complete ownership history.
