Police GIS connected incidents, addresses, operational planning and information from other organisations. Later public reporting added a different audience for geographic crime data. An official November 2016 launch advisory names Gavin Knight as the practitioner demonstrating policedata.nz, providing a specific contribution within that wider organisational history.
In 2021, Duane Wilkins led a Police ArcGIS Enterprise implementation team that included Sarah Hodgson.
