Vicinity Solutions

BusinessVicinity Solutions

Vicinity Solutions supplied geospatial services, including work on local-government systems and geographic data. It was listed in the 2013 market review.

Vicinity’s Waimakariri case study describes work following the Canterbury earthquakes to improve the relationship between rating parcels, addresses and property records. Shelley Sutcliffe developed automated processing for multiple flats on a parcel and rating parcels crossing land parcels, with data cleanup and integration across GIS platforms.

Another case records co-founder Bryan Clarke’s independent review of a draft New Zealand addressing profile for a LINZ-led standards group. His critique informed changes to the conceptual model and related international-standard work. The cases document the company’s work on data structures and reliable exchange of location information; neither supplies a precise project-completion year.
