David Ronald Henderson completed a 2008 Master of Science thesis at the University of Waikato titled Local Source Tsunami Inundation Modelling for Poverty Bay, Gisborne. The study addressed a coastal hazard through spatial modelling. Its relationship to subsequent operational tsunami planning is not established by the thesis metadata alone.
