AgriBase provided georeferenced farm boundaries or farm units and agricultural attributes for spatial analysis. A University of Canterbury geospatial holdings catalogue identifies a simplified version of AgriBase dated December 2000 in a New Zealand Map Grid-based collection.
The December 2000 copy is a dated dataset snapshot, not evidence of when the AgriBase programme was originally founded or of its later currency. Land-cover datasets and farm-type information are different sources: the former characterises observed surface cover, while the latter represents agricultural holdings and uses.
