The national digital cadastral mapping dataset assembled from older record maps from the mid-1980s.
LINZ describes the Digital Cadastral Database as its first system containing digitised cadastral records. Cadastral record maps were converted from the mid-1980s, allowing parcel-related spatial information to be worked with electronically rather than solely through paper map sheets.
The DCDB was later superseded by Landonline. LINZ's recorded district maintenance cutovers from 2000 to 2002 and its conversion documentation are needed when tracing a Landonline feature back to older cadastral geometry.
