Hawke’s Bay Regional Council used GIS and linked environmental databases for groundwater, river, hazard and resource-management work. The 2006 Heretaunga Steady-State Ground-Water Model credits named database and GIS contributors. The Hawke’s Bay Region GIS Forum reported its use of an Esri platform in 2008.
