International Business Machines (IBM)

BusinessIBM International Business Machines

IBM supplied New Zealand Treasury with an IBM 650 data-processing system. Installed in 1960, it used magnetic tape and processed the central public-service payroll, returning printed vouchers and punched-card cheques.
